4L HW due on Monday
1) Convert 42 K into Celsius degrees and then 42 C into Kelvin
2)The specific heat of a particular block of steel is 485 J/(kg C°). When we add 5000000 J of thermal energy to a block of this steel its temperature increases by 6.00 °C.
- What is the mass of the block?
- Suppose we now have 175-kg of this same kind of steel. How much heat must be added to raise its temperature by 6.00 °C?
